When Sparrow's sister is killed after trying to save his brother Rin, he has to get far away from the place of where he was born. After running for miles on end, he ends up in a little town 3 miles away from where he started. He meets a cat, named Harley. Harley leaves his own home to take care of Sparrow, so he doesn't die from not taking care of himself. Sparrow learns that there are more important things in the world than surviving.
